My good buddy Philippe Hyman brought me in to work on this show. Philippe’s one of the first friends I made in LA, and he’s been a steadfast supporter of my career and bar tab. He’s a true adventurer, of the world and spirit. Your go to guy if you want to shoot under extreme conditions. That’s him on the mountain top. This show was hella fun to work on, given all the dramatic location footage that he got, and all the great stories he had to tell. Definitely a “bigger is better” kinda project, Philippe wanted to give it a more contemporary cinematic quality than the orchestral score a lot of folks associate with National Geographic. The goofy cue titles say it all.
